We’ve made it past the seamlessly never-ending year of 2020 and have embarked on the journey of another year. 2021 has the potential to be anything.
However, if you are like me, the weight of the unknown is still heavy and staying focused is an ongoing challenge. Global crisis, civil unrest, isolation, and the crippling grip of a Seattle winter all wrapped into one long, ongoing grey day. These are the times that I rely on cannabis to help unwind and help me drift off to happier mental states.
Enter the Dutch Hawaiian PAX Pod by Heylo. When I found out this cultivar was on our list for extraction, I was extremely excited. This strain has been a favorite of mine since the good ol’ medical marijuana days. I remember how it gave me such an energetic-but-chill, creative experience. This oil is no different. In fact, it feels like a ray of sunshine hits my mind and like my body is sitting on a warm beach somewhere far away. With a piney and fresh initial vapor experience, and lingering savory notes, Dutch Hawaiian also helps me to breathe easier. Dutch Hawaiian totes 12% native terpenes, and is specifically high in caryophyllene (7.8%) making this full-bud extracted oil incredibly soothing.
The mood lift I get from this strain makes me feel like I am in a tropical paradise despite the darkness outside -- something a lot of us could use during these days. It is a lovely wake-and-bake strain that helps me to get focused and groovy for the day ahead (can you say morning dance parties in your undies much?) In fact, Dutch Hawaiian has been so inspiring to me in these beginning days of the year that I curated a tropical playlist to help take my experience with the strain that much further. You can find it here. Dutch Hawaiian pairs with anything that you need a little boost for -- our team recommended it specifically for arts and crafts, socializing (distanced of course), crushing your to-do list, positive affirmations and cultivating hope for the future vibes.
With all that being said, I hope that whoever is reading this knows that it is no easy feat being human right now (or is it ever?) but I am proud of you/me/us for making it this far. I have hope that brighter days are on our horizon and for now at least we have those sweet Dutch Hawaiian vibes by our side to help pull us through.
